Valéria Costa is a Brazilian fashion designer who grew up in Monte Carmelo, surrounded by fabric and creativity from an early age. Her father owned a fabric store, and her mother was a skilled seamstress—an environment that inspired Valéria to create her first dress at just 12 years old.
Although she went on to earn a master’s and doctorate in psychology and pedagogy, her passion for fashion eventually led her back to design. She studied at the European Fashion Center in São Paulo and refined her craft through advanced courses. Known for her elegant, sustainable designs and traditional tailoring techniques, Valéria launched her own brand over a decade ago.
She now leads a team that produces high-quality garments, shoes, and accessories, with a flagship store in Rio de Janeiro. Her recent participation in Vancouver Fashion Week marks her growing presence in the international fashion scene.
